Henna is a highly popular beauty ingredient that takes care of many hair troubles of men and women. It’s not only a great ingredient to dye your hair naturally, but you can also condition your tresses with it.

Henna strengthens and nourishes the hair from deep, which a lot of women need today to maintain their health. You can find ready to apply henna for hair online that is 100 percent natural and ultra-filtered.

Henna powder has no chemicals and aids in hair growth. When you start using henna, you’ll find that you don’t need to resort to buying costly conditioning products.

Why Is Henna a Good Hair Conditioner?

Henna indeed acts as a great conditioner. When you combine its powder with ingredients like egg yolk, its conditioning effect increases significantly. It is thus an excellent option for those dealing with damaged hair.

It enables a hair strand to create a protective layer surrounding itself. Thus, the strand can effectively lock in critical nutrients required for hair health. Henna also helps in restoring the scalp’s acid-alkaline balance.

It aids in the strengthening of the hair follicles. Consistent application of it reduces the chances of your hair getting frizzy. Henna contains tannin, which binds with your hair to make it thick.

Tannin doesn’t go inside the hair cortex. It thus ensures minimum damage. Those with oily hair can also use henna. The powder of this plant soothes the hyperactive sebaceous glands, which in turn controls oil production.

How Henna Hydrates Dry Scalp?

Many people suffer from a dry scalp condition, which results in excessive dandruff. Dandruff is accompanied by itching. It is mainly due to an absence of moisture. But you can hydrate your scalp and moisturize your hair with henna.

Its paste, when applied to hair, prevents dandruff from accumulating. It removes excessive grease and dirt from the scalp. As it has antifungal and anti-microbial properties, it soothes and cools the scalp, which controls the itchiness that you may experience. Using henna powder regularly will eliminate all dandruff problems and prevent them from coming back.

The Right Way to Apply Henna on Hair

Before applying henna, you need to shampoo your hair and dry them thoroughly. Remember not to use conditioner on your hair after you shampoo it.

  • If you desire highlights, apply the henna paste directly on those areas that you want to highlight.
  • To achieve a more significant coverage, divide your hair into layers and apply the paste.
  • After the application process finishes, tie your hair, preferably into a bun.
  • It’s a good idea to wear a shower cap. It will avoid the spillage of this paste from your hair. Wearing a shower cap will also keep the paste warm, which will lead to the dye activating faster.
  • Wait for two to three hours after its application on your hair.
  • Now wash your hair with water that has a room temperature.
  • You can reapply henna to your roots whenever you need a touch-up.

If you are using henna paste for the first time, it’s recommended to wait for about 15 days after the first application. Applying the paste again after 15 days will ensure that the henna color comes out beautifully and lasts for a long time.

To get all the conditioning benefits of henna, it’s essential to buy high-quality henna paste. Look into henna for hair that contains active ingredients like manjistha, rosemary, amla, and black tea. Such a henna paste prevents aging and greying of hair. It will also get you rid of all dry hair problems.
