- Butterfly Valves

A single seal ring is used in these types of valves. This ring serves as a seal between the valve disc and the body. Between the valve body and the pipe flanges, it also serves as a seal. At specific angles, the valve starts and stops. When the butterfly valve’s disc is perpendicular to the flow direction, the flow is stopped in the engine.
The flow goes through the valve and around the disc when the disc is parallel to the flow direction. Butterfly valves are more compact than ball and plug valves. - Rotary Valve
There are many different types of rotary valves. The rotation on which these valves rely is often limited to a 90-degree motion. They are sometimes known as quarter-turn valves. As a result, the quarter-turn is named. There are, however, rotary valves with a greater degree of rotation.
In addition, such valves have a number of positions that are actively used in normal operation. At 90 degrees, quarter-turn valves should be totally open, and at 0 degrees, they should be completely closed.
