Google has recently introduced a new data dashboard called “My Activity” that allows you to manage your online activities. You can view a timeline of all your online activity and delete any data that you don’t want to save. Thankfully, there are many ways to disable the data saving process. Keep reading to learn how to use “My Activity.”
Google’s new data dashboard is called “My Activity”
The “My Activity” page in Google’s search results displays information that you’ve been doing on your computer. It includes your recent Google search history, website visits, and audio recordings from voice searches. You can also see the number of times you’ve used Google services like maps, Gmail, and YouTube. You can also choose to delete individual items from your list by clicking the three-dot menu icon.
If you’re worried about privacy issues, Google has an easy solution: My Activity. All of your online activity is saved in this dashboard. If you’d like to turn off Google tracking, you can visit the Activity Controls page and adjust your privacy settings. By default, Google will track your web and app activity to provide personalized ads. If you’re unsure, click “No” to stop tracking. However, this may affect your autocomplete suggestions.
It shows you a timeline of your activities
If you’re looking to create a time line of your activities, you can use MindMeister. This app organizes information in mind maps. It includes strong collaboration features, style changes, and presenting mode. The pro version allows you to add images and export mind maps to MS Word or PowerPoint. To begin creating your own timeline, register for the MindMeister app. Define the scope of your timeline and create a clear title.
The timeline features a visual representation of time. In this view, horizontal events appear as horizontal lines on a timeline. It uses pointers to indicate which dates are important to the timeline. This view is better for presentations, but it lacks room for text. You can create your timeline in two ways: vertically or horizontally. It will show you the most recent activities first, and then move to the future.
It lets you delete old data
If you are unsure whether you want to keep the history of your Google activity, you can find out how to delete it from your account. Go to the settings of your Google account, and click on Manage Activity. In the left-hand pane, you will find items with microphone icons. To delete them, click the three-dot icon. You can also manually select the data that you want to delete.
You can find these settings in your Google activity dashboard. Click on the Activity controls. You can choose an auto-delete time or delete the data manually. Delete data from the Google Voice and Audio section. You should delete old data after three or eighteen months, depending on your preferences.
It lets you disable data collection
As a user of Google products, you may have noticed that the company collects data on your computer activities. To prevent this, you can enable or disable Google’s tracking on your computer. You can find the setting on your Google account page in the “Privacy and personalization” section. Then, click “Web & app activity” to control how Google collects data on your online activity.
