Cruz Azul have been linked with the striker, but the Mexican club isn’t looking to part with the player. Tigres, meanwhile, have a player-for-player exchange deal with Cementeros in an effort to secure a striker. Cruz Azul have not responded to the Tigres’ request for Ignacio Rivero, but they’ve been in contact with both clubs for a while.
Xolos
The Xolos are looking to get back to winning ways in Liga MX, as their recent win at Toluca was an anomaly. Their other three road games have ended in defeat with a combined score of seven goals. Xolos have scored eight goals in their last five games, with the most recent coming on September 11. Brayan Angulo, Miguel Sansores and Matheus Doria scored for Xolos. The Xolos last played Santos in Liga MX play in 2020, and it is expected that Santos will win the league again.
Miguel Herrera has assembled an intriguing starting lineup. Juan Carlos Nunez and Luis Michel started in goal for the Xolos, while Juan Carlos Valenzuela was the center back. Juan Carlos Medina and Matias Pisano were in midfield, while Juan Martin Lucero was in the strike force. Of these four, only Luis Michel made his Liga MX debut.
Chuy’s purpose is to give back to his community and uplift his community. He is grateful for the sacrifices he received from his family and community to get where he is today. He chose the Oakland Roots because of their purpose-driven mission. Chuy is from East Palo Alto, and grew up in the Bay Area. Previously, he played for the Xolos in Liga MX.
Monterrey
Club de Ftbol Monterrey, or Rayados, is a professional football club in Mexico. Based in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León, the team competes in the Liga MX. The team has won six championships since the club was formed in 2001. Their team logo resembles a Mexican flag. This colorful team plays in a stadium centered on a giant cross.
The club has won three of its last four games, and has only one loss in its last nine Liga MX matches. During the regular season, Monterrey finished in first place with 37 points, and advanced to the playoffs. They beat Atlas 2-1 in the first leg and four-1 in the second, and then beat Morelia 2-0 in the semifinals. Monterrey then defeated Tigres UANL in a tie-up of the two teams, and went on to win the championship 2-1 on aggregate.
As a result, the Rayados did not make many transfers during the offseason. In the summer, they were linked to higher profile foreign forwards, such as Lukas Podolski. Janssen was the first to arrive in Monterrey, and he admitted that he was intrigued by the challenge of playing in Mexico. But after being convinced by the team’s culture, he decided to sign with Monterrey instead.
